Global Sorghum Production

May 2017

This month the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimates that the Global Sorghum Production 2016/2017 will be 63.18 million metric tons, around 0.68 million tons more than the previous month's projection.

Last year the Global Sorghum Production (*) was 61.43 million tons. This year's 63.18 estimated million tons could represent an increase of 1.76 million tons or a 2.87% in sorghum production around the globe.
